Ghost Recon Wildlands Open Beta can't uninstall
So the open beta for GR: Wildlands ended a couple days ago, but I've been too busy to uninstall it beforehand. As a result, the game has disappeared from my library (as well as the store and discussions which is why I'm posting this here), but it's still installed in my computer. I tried uninstalling via the control panel, but every time I try it always opens up Steam. Then I tried uninstalling through Uplay, which then opened the control panel, which then opened Steam. Should I just try deleting the entire game folder? Or is there a safer alternative? Thanks in advance!

Try getting a 3rd party uninstaller like Revo and uninstall through there.

If that doesn't work, open up the directory where GR:Wildlands was installed in and look for the .exe uninstaller, usually they have them.

The only uninstall file I can find in the files is to uninstall its anti-cheat, Easy Anti-Cheat. I'll look into third party uninstallers.

CAN'T UNINSTALL Ghost Recon Wildlands Beta
So the BETA is removed from the steam store, and every time I go to add or remove programs and try to uninstall, it asks if steam has permission, I allow it and then it goes to my library and nothing happens, it's not even in my library anymore wtf.

Can you still see the local files?

You can remove the local files yourself, just delete the folder.

same problam here. We want to unistall the game normally, witohout "tricks". Steam can permit to see the game in the list of games again? The problem is that Steam have hidden the game because the beta is finished.

Sorry fot the bad english

Navigate to the windows folder using windows file explorer and manually delete the folder.

normally this is the wrong way. Whay i have to risk if the problem is Steam?
Cathulhu 1 Thg03, 2017 @ 6:38am
What risk? There is literally none.
chillytpc 1 Thg03, 2017 @ 11:02am
the risk is leaving unused files and registry entries.. yes one can use ccleaner or something but i agree i would like to uninstall the correct way

steam seems to have removed the game from the library but has forgotten that it becomes impossible to do a "clean uninstall" by that. if trying to uninstall with uplay, i get referred windows system control, from that i get referred to steam where i cannot find the game. i ended up deleting the gamefiles from "SteamApps\common" and removing it from showing up in uplay and installed programs.
if trying to contact steam support the will most likely refer you to ubisoft since it is a technical problem (caused by steam)..
not really what i would expect from the leading digital distribution platform for games in the 21st century tho :steamfacepalm:

Never ever ever go in and manually delete an entry if it has an uninstall path in the Control Panel.
Same here - Steam removed the game, can't do clean uninstall.

This sucks - for me a reason not to buy the game.
