Sound may not be as great, but I think HRTF has bugs which may cause the sound to be wonky.
IMO play spotify (whatever that is) while you are playing CSGO and post back: after 20 rounds, does the sound of both get screwed up or only the sound of CSGO?
or what the previous guy said. not a bad idea.
not sure I have even played CSGO since they put HRTF in. I may have to try it again.
Btw when I said rounds, it's more like matches, maybe 10 or 20 matches total. It goes on for a while, which is why it is bearable, but still.
Praying to the CSGO gods for guidance over here.
STEAM, FIX YOUR PRODUCT.
and what is this "reinstall that directx thing" you refer to?
if it doesn't do that then your steam is broke and you should reinstall :P
however if it is reinstalling DX each time, that sounds like it is downloading a new file when you verify. something weird going on.
not to jump to a conclusion but it might not hurt to run diagnostic tools on that HD and make sure it is working right.
are you using any mods?
My system seems to have been working lately, not sure if it's legit or will break again. I believe it says "All files successfully validated." but I'll wait to do it again to see what the message is.
It is doing the DX reinstall every time.
I've suspected an HDD problem, however, I am using an SSD. I have not tried to install the game on a different SSD to see if that changes things. I think the next time it does, I'll reinstall the system on a different SSD HD. Haven't had any disk problems at all so far. Would be really unfortunate if that was it. (It's a 256gig M.2 SSD btw).
Using no mods at all.
