CSGO runs poorly all of a sudden PLEASE HELP!!!
I used to only own CSGO on 1 account and I recently purchased it on this account. After I ran it on this its been running very badly. On my account I have over 180+ hours spent in game and it used to run fine with about 20 to 30 fps. Now in the menu screen I get 9 fps. I cant even load into a map! I didnt change the settings, tried reinstalling and disabling so much. Nothing works! It takes 95% of my cpu and it never did that before, please help! When I run it without steam it runs completely fine, but when I run through steam i get this issue..

I cannot make a steam support ticket for some reason and please dont say " just buy a new PC" if I had money to do that I wouldve already done it

Run a defragmentation on your hard disk that contains CS:GO files, because they often get fragmented due to how Steam client updates and, on a low spec PC, that can cause frame drops and choppiness to be more severe. Even though it can happen on better PCs too, the frame drops aren't usually that noticeable if you have 250+ fps.

If CS:GO never used 95% of your CPU, then the problem is not with CS:GO but something else that's active in the background and uses your CPU, thus causing CS:GO to slow down to a crawl. I really can't think of anything else if you didn't change your video settings.

P.S. Open your task manager, switch to processes and see what's using the CPU the most. It should be between 00-99 (that means %). Whatever is using the most CPU power is the cause of your CS:GO fps drop.

I did, its CSGO itself that becomes 95% of my CPU but it never did this before. Everything else is fine, but when I run CSGO without steam it uses 10% of my cpu

Well, CS:GO is pretty CPU intensive and always has been, but if you're 100% sure that it didn't use that much of CPU before then try reinstalling CS:GO altogether. That's probably the last thing I can think of. But first uninstall, defragment the disk once again and then reinstall. Let me know how it goes.
