not getting Steam guard authenticator codes notifications
it been going on for the past few days, tried removing the authenticator and uninstall the app but that did not work.
i have the lg g5.

EDIT:
a solution by slug

1. Delete steam on your old phone
2. Clear steam app cache on your current phone (google how to do this if you don't know)
3. Log back into steam
4. At the prompt, chose the option that says something along the lines of "remove the mobile authenticator and go back to using e-mails for verification."
5. Follow whatever it says to do to log in
6. When you're logged in, head to "Steam Guard"
7. Follow the prompts to setup the steam mobile authenticator

another fix: deleting the app from your old phone (if you changed phones)

I found one solution which worked for me
*in mobile enable automatic date and time + automatic time zone
*in PC enable automatic time too (sync with internet time)

Not sure the circumstances of your failure here, but deleting the cache didn't fix it for me - I have come to a new phone.
One post suggests deleting it on your old phone but this didn't work for me, however I managed to get it to work following the below (unsure if all steps are required but this is what I did in its entirety);

It should now work.

Alternatively, check you haven't muted steam notifications in your phone's OS.

Slugs solution worked for me. I messed up my steam by clearing the cache and reinstalling didn't fix it. You have to reauthorize the authenticator if you do that.

I managed to fix my issue by opening up widgets on my phone, going to my steam authentication widget, and just putting it on a page somewhere. After I did that, the codes started popping up in my notification bar too, and you should be able to remove the widget afterward, and still have the notifications come through. I hope this helped, because this problem has been troubling me for a few weeks now.

Dude that fix is only for Android phones. Actually, not even for all the Android phones. Your bug comes from another thing, that something I couldn't actually understand. But no one get hurts from trying 🙌

Redownloading the app equals 15 days block from selling on the market so the best way is:
- make a steam widget, refresh it if needed
- log in on steam on incognito tab
- wait for the notification on the phone, i see a quite delay
- delete widget, kill running apps and try again (the wait is needed, notification won't pop instantly, like before)
- restart phone and see if notification still works
- optional like said above, clear app's cache.

Tried the widget trick a few times on my Pixel 3 XL, and it's not working for me sadly.

The widget method doesn't work anymore on android pie for me.
I even tried to clean cache, uninstall the app, reinstall it and connect it with my account again(before uninstall i didn't disconnect it from the account from that matter)

So I dunno know what to try
