I misunderstood your wording earlier, thought you where asking if it was impossible despite your speed. Edited the post.
But, in reality, there are millions of users connected simultaneously to steam and it's not just me... and that's a lot of bandwidth, if each user is supposed to be able to download at 2Gbp/s * millions.
Even so, I think you'd be hard-pressed to complain about incomplete utilisation of gigabit-class networking, especially given that gigabit implies downloading a gigabyte in 8 seconds.

they can handle it.
