Steam Didn't Refund My Money Back
A month ago, I requested to refund two video games and I thought it was a success. The two are uninstalled. I know I have to wait within 14 days or 7 days for me to get my money transferred to my bank account. And I did wait and I still didn't have it. How do I know if the money is transferred? Do I receive an SMS or a Steam message?

For which two games did you ask for a refund? Do those games still appear in your games list on your profile?
Normally you will receive a mail from Steam if the refund request has been accepted.

@Ogami
Hitman(2016) and GTA 5. No, they disappeared from my library.
I'm currently checking my email for any news from Steam regarding my refund request.

Did you buy those games the same day you refunded them or just a short time before?
Because if you refund a game on the same day, most of the time Steam does not refund the money but will cancel the original payment so the money wont even leave your bank account.

If you payed per Steam Wallet or refunded games that were a few days old already you need to open a ticket with Steam Support if you did not receive your money after a month.

I bought those games the same day I requested for a refund.
Anyway, I checked my email and I saw a Steam Refund email. It says the refund was succesful, something like that. But how can I make sure they really did gave back my money to my bank account?

If you refunded them the day you bought them, the transaction was canceled.

But when I bought those two, I received an SMS saying that I just purchased a Steam game.

If you refunded the same day they did not need to give you anything back. They canceled the payment so the money never left your bank.

Of course. If you buy something Steam sends a holding request to your bank to verify that you have the money for the games. Then the purchase process begins. Normally the money gets send to Steam in the next 24 hours after a purchase. BUT, if you refund the games during that time Steam never had the money and just cancels the payment hold. So the money never left your account. Check your bank statements for that month.
It should show you if money left your account.

Without knowing any more than this, have you tried reading this thread for the information given to the OP?

If you bought a game and then refunded it within the first 24 hours after that, the money never left your bank / wallet. If you've been TOLD you have a refund pending, then you have to WAIT for the pending to finish and the transaction to complete, as stated above.

i have requested a refund for a game 30 days ago the transaction was under pending the money was removed out of my bank and i was approved for a refund i have been checking my bank since then and the money hasn't been added back to my statements i contacted my bank and they have looked through all my statement right up until the day of the refund (9th December 2023) and to this day they said that the money hasn't been returned to my account to spend and there are no funds to release did i seriously just get scammed from steam them selves?
