Default gateway error every time I play a game.

This started happening a few weeks ago. Whenever I start up a game on steam, regardless of the game, my wifi on my PC drops and i get the little yellow warning sign on my wifi icon. If I run the troubleshooter, it tells me that the default gateway is not available. If I am just using the internet normally it doesn't happen, it's only when I am playing games on steam. this happens every couple of minutes. Does anyone have any suggestions or fixes? any help would be appreciated.

It's not my ISP, every other device in my house, including my laptop, connects fine, and never has the default gateway issue. Any recommendations for a new wireless adapter?

Killer is my favorite brand for wireless adapter at this time, though you will need to manually install a killerN card.
