XBOX ONE CONTROLLER RIGHT STICK NOT WORKING

i had to reinstall nvidia drivers and since then the right stick onmy xbox one controller doesnt work. it seems to be a windows 10 issue but of course microsoft wants $110 to fix something that simple. i know the controller isnt broken since it works fine on my xbox. please help

Uninstall the Controller fully via Device Manager and select "Remove software for this device also"

Then manually reinstall it.
Test it via Winkey+R

ok so ive done this. but for some reason only the bars are moving, and not the little cursor

never mind it was the steam controller setting that was conflicting with my drivers

yup. so basically if it ever happens just make sure to check the big picture mode in steam, go to controller settings and disable it

Ok yea I kinda figured; I know many said in the past if you ever used Steam Controller on your PC; it can affect your other Controller/Joystick devices

Can you elaborate a bit on the whole "disable it" part? As in: What is the exact name of the setting that you are removing the tick from to enable/disable the controller? Is it 'Controller Settings -> Xbox Configuration Support" or is it some other tick that makes this issue go away?

go into big picture mode and then settings > controller settings. uncheck every box on that page. exit BPM.

I have an Xbox One Elite controller and had to change to Xbox Gaming Device instead of Xbox One Elite controller in Device Manager. It did not work properly, so i restarted pc, and now no troubles with any game.
