Trading humble bundle keys, is it illegal? does it violate any EULA?
I know that I can be scammed, but I am talking about EULA and legality.
I am asking because I have a few duplicates sitting there doing nothing, and I would love to trade them in exchange for some good games.

Humble Bundle prohibits "using the Service for any commercial solicitation purposes;" and says "The Service is only for sales of products or product rights (collectively, "Products") to end user customers for their personal, non-commercial use." The usage of the word "personal" suggests they don't want you trading their keys, but I am not a lawyer.

How would anyone know that you traded a key?

I would rather not risk my account, even if the chances are small.

A key is a key. Once entered, it is still a key.

Oh, and how would anyone know that you traded a key? Your response didn't answer that.

legally you can freely do whatever you want with the key, be that sell or trade it, however indiegala / humblebundle etc have terms of conditions that they reserve the rights to suspend your business with them in the future if you were caught breaking their TOS/EULA but they are not above laws.

Trading Humble keys, any problems with that?
I am reposting this thread because I wanted to make myself clearer:
I have a few games from Humble Bundle which I already have (duplicates basically), I was wondering if there is any problem in trading them in exchange for other games which I do not own right now.
As far as I know commercial use means making money out of something, I don't think that trading is considered commercial but I may be wrong.
Is it against Steam EULA? Is it against Humble's EULA? I see many people doing it, it doesn't make it right but if it is prohibited, why would they do it and risk their accounts?

Uhm, yes. It is commercial. It may not be money you get in return, but something else with a comparable monetary value.
