My fan is making a weird DVD like noise
my cpu fan is making a noise similar to how a DVD player reads a disc. It's a laptop and i use it for gaming. its not overclocked but it has had some overheating issues for two days where my computer would randomly shut off. i dont know what to do.

Sounds like something is either stuck in the fan or it shaves slightly against something.
If a lot of dirt accumulates in the fan it can lead to this.

would a can of compressed air work? its probably dust build up.

Clean your fan

the fan cant function good thats why they overheat
