Please help me out, I've been having this issue for a while and I cannot fix it, I haven't been able to play my game because of this.

After downloading DotA 2, it gets to the verifying files step and then it gives me this error, please help me.

Ok so if anyone else has been experiencing this problem, I have found the fix for my computer.

Simply go to your Download Settings and select "Steam Library Folders", right click on the drive that holds DotA and select Repair Library Folder, you will have to install DotA again but it will work!

No problem my friend! Not being able to play was really terrible. I hope you didn't struggle too much with it.

Thanks, this also helped me. Tried clearing the download cache and a few other things to no avail. Pretty sure the issue was caused by a random crash I had.

Top left corner - Steam - Settings - Downloads - Steam Library Folders. Click the drive, then right click and hit repair

Another solution to Corrupt disk is renaming the 'downloading' folder. Sometimes Steam downloads become corrupted and when you try to re-download it, it uses the same corrupted files.

If you rename the 'downloading' folder in Steam Apps, and create a new folder titled 'downloading' the game download will be placed in the new folder and will no longer be corrupted. The old corrupted files will remain in the folder you renamed.
