FPS counter
I have recently started to notice that in my games, I get a green/black fps counter that I can not get rid of. I am running CAM in the background for my temperatures, and I have tried closing CAM, but the counter is still there. As I can not post a picture here, please check my screenshot showcase on my profile for a picture of it. It is in Fallout 4.

You don't seem to have a screenshot for Fallout 4 uploaded. I don't see the counter in any of the New Vegas screenshots. It's most likely just the high contrast Steam FPS counter.

it is there now.

Sorry
It doesn't let me upload a screenshot with that for some reason. The FPS counter looks just like the steam one, but bigger, and if I click on it, I get a green arrow. Thank you for the quick response. Also, the white counter in my screenshots is not the one.

Okay, I see the Fallout 4 screenshot. I don't see the green FPS counter though. The only green text I see is in the bottom-right corner, that appears to be the ammo in your current clip + the total ammo you have for that gun.

Yeah. I tried to go windowed, but once I clicked out of the window, the counter dissapeared. I can do a steam broadcast now if you would like me to show you. In terms of CAM, I have it on, but it is not the counter I was talking about.

I'm not sure the FPS counter would show up in a broadcast any more than it would in a screenshot. It definitely sounds like some kind of third-party overlay. You said if you click it you get an arrow, what happens if you click the arrow?

shadowplay?

It goes back to normal. For example, I could click on it in the menu, I would get the arrow. Then, if I click, it goes back to the normal clicker. Also, it is not shadowplay. I will try to do a broadcast now, so you can try to watch if you want.

I know you said it's not Shadowplay, but could it be NVIDIA GeForce Experience? If you have that installed, when you open it and go to Settings, you can toggle on "Share". This then has it's own settings where you can control which overlays appear or not, including a large green fps counter.

I've used it when playing games on Origin, but I don't recall an arrow appearing if I hover over it...

It is a different color/design for the numbers.

Go to steam settings > in game > there should be fps counter check box.

Never has been on. It is not the steam fps counter.

I doubt it since you can apparently click on it, but could it be an fps counter from your monitors osd?
