I mean that Source Filmmaker requires a Windows operating system. The guide involves using Wine to get around this problem, but it isn't supported by Steam.

Steam won't actually stop you from adding a game or software to your library that is unsupported by your operating system. One of the features of Steam is being allowed to run your games on multiple computers; you could conceivably buy a game on a Windows PC, and play it on a Mac. In this case, the software requires a Windows operating system to work.

But what if you have the specs on a mac that are capable of running sfm?

Do the specs include running Windows? If not, you cannot run Source Filmmaker without something like Wine.

Ok well i do have the specs needed for source filmmaker. So could i download it from my phone and play it on my mac.

If not i'll install wine.
