Is it ok to run Cyberghost vpn while steam is running in the background?

I use cyberghost for surfing in the internet for Privacy and fast streaming, will i get banned if i use it while steam is running in the background?

VPNs are not inherently the problem, it's what you do with the VPN. If the VPN makes it appear you are in a different country than you actually are, or you use it to bypass region restrictions/regional pricing, then yes, it could cause problems.

oh and what if i try to use vpn while playing cs go will the ping go high or low?

That would depend on your connection to the VPN, and the VPN's connection to the server. It won't be inherently high or low.

I am not an employee of Valve, I cannot say. You could certainly get in trouble if you purchase something, and are using a VPN that makes you appear to be in a different country.
