How does the top sellers list work, sorting intervall
So, after searching the forums it is seems to me that the top sellers list is sorted by revenue. However, there needs to be some kind of sorting timeframe, right?

Is it total revenue last hour, day, week etc.

Take for example this hypothetical situation (assume game price is the same):

Game A sells 1.000.000 copies day 1, 0 copies the remaining 364 days of the year
Game B sells 10.000 copies every day for 365 days, total 3.650.000

Will game A be top seller only on day 1, or for 100 days until the total reventue of game B has caught up?

Anyone have some credible insight into this?

Sales data from the last two weeks is what I remember from a forum discussion with the Valve employee in charge years ago (*). Though during sales back then they modified it to last day/last 12 hours to capture the flash sales. Since it's an algorithm they can modify on the fly, I can't give you any certainties to what it's set to now.

* There was a reoccurring accusation by one forum user on the old forum from 2009 to 2011ish that the Top Sellers list was rigged, and in the end the person in charge stepped in and explained how it worked.

Thanks for your insight Washell. Last day or last 12 hours would seem resonable. Quite sure it is not last two weeks considering Conan Exiles went to 1st place basically the day (or day after) it was released in EA.
