i am building a pc and i got a amd a6 6400k cpu the socket is a fm 2 and i got this motherboard called asus am1m-a and its a am1 socket with it work together

AM1 isn't FM2 and no that processor won't work on that motherboard.

Did you buy both used? Did you already have one? If new how come you're trying without asking for help first?
If you have bought both new then see if you can return them. If you have bought them used then that suck and maybe try finding the correct combination.

If you bought new and could had afford a bit more I would had recommended the G4560 and a B250 motherboard instead (and in that case 2400 MHz DDR4 memory.)
