Alt-Tabbing!
Now, this isn't steam, I know that but my computer keeps alt tabbing every now and then and it's really annoying, I know they're alot of threads about this but I think mine is different, now I have barely any backgrounds running, only battle.net (Which I tested it's not it) and Steam. When It happens a black box comes up but it's really fast so I don't get to see it, If I'm on fullscreen it alt tabs, If I'm on fullscreen window, it just takes the cursor out of the game so I have to click it again? From all I can see it's just a plain black box, I have no idea.. Has anyone had this same predicament and do you mind telling me how? Or if you think you can fix it please share. Thanks.

What mouse do you have? I am using a Logitech MX Master and it has a hidden button on the foot below my thumb that does Ctrl+Alt+Tab which I would accidentally hit in the heat of battle and end up switching to a different window or the desktop. That can be quite annoying.

I am running Linux, so I disabled Alt+Tab and switched Ctrl+Alt+Tab to Ctrl+Alt+Home, so Alt+Tab or Ctrl+Alt+Tab are ignored and that hidden button does nothing. But I am not sure how to switch key combinations like that in Windows (or Logitech Windows driver?).

My mouse recently broke so currently I have a cheap wireless mouse that doesn't have any buttons aside from Left Mouse button, Right Mouse button, and the scroll, and I don't touch alt+tab while playing. I called the thread that because that's what the action is, but the buttons aren't being pressed. Thank you for the suggestions, I do appreciate it and I hope if someone reading this has the same problem your suggestion can fix it.

I have noticed discord and other messeging programs such as Skype did this to me. I fixed it by disabling the pop-up notifications on discord (sound only) and uninstalling Skype completely because let's face it, no one really uses Skype for gaming anymore anyway.

Thanks, I've tried that before and it didn't work, I think it has something to do with the black box opening up and then the PC tries to swap to the newly opened thing or something... It's been about a week and It seems to have randomly stopped. I really appreciate all the help guys!!! Hopefully if anyone has troubles like this, the information here can help them!!!

You mentioned a black box, what is it? That's obviously your problem. Just get rid of that.

Does it just pop up for a moment then go away? Or does it stay? If it stays you can find it in task manager easily and once you know the process name hunt it down and kill it with fire.

Also a virus scan wouldn't hurt. I'd reccomend Malwarebytes free version.

It just pops up and then goes away.. I took a virus scan, had noting, I may just camp on task manager and see if it pops up for half a sec, thanks.

Try it with malwarebytes, picks up almost anything. :)
