BT Mail and verification messages

There's an issue with BT internet blocking verification messages from steam guard. The messages don't even appear in the spam filter. If you have this issueI suggest you register a new email address with steam (.e.g. Gmail) and pick up your codes that way. I spent 2 days waiting for messages that were never going to arrive. Grrr. Thanks BT(!)

I'm having exactly the same problem with setting-up steam on a new computer, not receiving the code by email. I contatced BT and was told they are not doing anything to obstruct steam. Also on my current computer I did a blunder and was locked out of my account for several days during which I frantically tried every way possible and then by accident a code was sent through from BT. Why do you think BT is the problem?

How to account for the one I received through BT, which I used on my old computer;must have slipped through or just been lucky, but thanks for the post, I'll probably do as others are saying and change steam email to gmail.
