How to make Steam always start up in administrator mode in Win 10?
I use Steam Link and unless in admin mode, the Link gets unresponsively stuck when focus comes onto Windows programs like Task Manager or On-Screen Keyboard. And I'm tired of closing and restarting Steam.exe manually every time before I can go over to my living room. Yet when I check "run in admin mode" in compatibility tab, Steam warns me about it when it's starting.

TLDR: How do I always make Steam start up in admin mode right when Windows starts?

No way, unless you turn off Windows' account protection which is a dumb idea.
Are you sure you need the task manager and the OSK?

Well, there is a way, sort of. You need a service which runs with ur desired privileges and starts Steam as its only task.

I use them pretty frequently on SL since I don't have & want to use a keyboard on my couch when I want to do a web search etc on big screen. TM always helps to address problems if something is up like an application/game hang.

No easy way of doing it apparently, can I do that if I google what you described?

Anyways, thanks, I'll look into it but apparently a bit more trouble than my current situation.

The Steam browser may be a good alternative.
Otherwise, feel free to educate yourself and thumbs up for actually wishing to do that! Most people on this forum wish to be spoon fed knowledge.

One final note: You can kill games from within Steam Big Picture

Steam browser gets constant outdated warnings, doesn't have 'awesome bar' (the thing that hooked me up on Firefox since I like to find and re-visit stuff without hoarding bookmarks for every little thing in one line) etc, not to mention that even though I like Steam's integration of using gamepad as a keyboard, getting used to it is a time-consuming challenge even if it may be faster than Win OSD keyboard.

Yeah, I get what you're saying! Thanks!
