Arch Linux, Steam, and Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals
Ok, so I just purchased X-Plane 10 on steam. Plugged in my flight stick and pedals, and started up steam (native on Arch Linux).
Loaded X-Plane 10, went to calibrate my controllers, flightstick/throttle worked fine. Pedals were recognized (the configuration screen showed the axis for the pedals), but there was no input from them.
Ran evtest (with steam/x-plane still running), it recognized the pedals, but again no input. Rebooted machine. Ran evtest again (before starting steam), it both recognized the pedals and received input. Ok cool.
Launched steam and X-Plane. Again, no input from the pedals. Closed steam, unplugged and re-plugged the pedals. evtest showed input. Launched steam (no X-Plane), ran evtest, no input.
Closed steam, unplugged/re-plugged pedals to verify, happens every time on multiple USB ports.

So somehow, apparently, steam is causing my pedals to stop responding. Any ideas? What should I be looking for?

Sorry to say I can not help but there is a Steam for Linux forum that many of our Linux guys use oftem. It may be worth posting on there.
