how to get a thread pinned?

like the topic title says: how do I get a useful thread pinned at the top of a game forum?
I'm not an admin or moderator.

By hoping a moderator thinks your thread contributes enough on a regular basis.
Mere users can't pin threads, for good reasons.

Yeah I had the thread pinned for years in the old spuf forums and just transfered it to scud, it had over 700k views in the old one, and it's actually useful.

As it's about a game, you will have to ask the moderators of that discussion hub. They'll need to decide.

Thanks, i'll look into that. Can't seem to find who's moderating that game. It's linked to a guide someone else did.
