Yesterday I tried reinstalling the whole OS (my Windows was kinda messed up so it was past time anyway) but even now with a fresh Windows and Steam install it's the same problem.
Interesting enough when I try different browsers, its only Steam and the Internet Explorer 11 that can't load the Steam pages. Firefox and Edge load them without any problem.
So I guess I have to wait until Valve fixes the issue.
Shop doesn't work for me in chrome either by the way.
I tried the suggestions in this thread and nothing worked so far.
Hope this will be resolved before the summer sale...

Seems you cannot spoof dns names in windows :( redirecting edgecast > akamai
Tried editing the hosts files but this only allows ip mapping per dns name...
Only workarround for chrome so far was using "User-Agent Switcher
for Chrome" and set steam domains to IE9 in "Permanent Spoof List"
Hope edgecast CDN will get fixed soon
For me, most pages work fine except for Steamcommunity. Slow loading and when it's finally done, styles are still missing.
This issue only occurs in the Steam overlay and Google Chrome browsers. The desktop Steam browser, Edge and Opera browsers are unaffected.
Which is another indication that its "not me", but steam somehow messing up.
Certain store icons / pages not loading.
Discussions / the forum seems to be fine though, used to not load avatar icons but thats loading fine again since about a day ago.
A temporary solution could be to kill the process "Steam Client WebHelper" (steamwebhelper.exe) in your task manager.
Store/Community will crash and after a reload work fine again. At least for me.
No, doesn't work here.
As soon as anything tries to load stuff from there, things stop working and go toa crawl.
http://www.websitenotworking.com/cdn.edgecast.steamstatic.com tells me the ip for that domain is 93.184.215.131 which is perfectly fine for me to ping and tracert, no missing hops.

Thats probably the real culprit, routing from certain locations doesnt work.
Its definately nothing a user can fix and as far as i can see its not a ISP routing problem. The only instance that can do something to fix it, is steam. But they keep silent and moderators..., well better i stop talking here now
Did you already send this to support? I think it would make sense probably.
im not in the mood to try figure out how to escalate this things to some real steam-support.
not my prob, if steam can live with lots of ppl not able to use stamclient and thus not able to make purchases, be it.
im just curious, IF someone from steam will finally post something, and what ...
thats the only reason im still here
Did you even take your time to read a SINGLE post of this thread???
