Keyboard Lag in games.
So, I am experiancing this bug in which randomly i will continue moving after releasing the wasd keys. The problem is not with the keyboard itself as i have tested other keyboards and it still occurs. The buttons are not physically sticking as that might imply and the problem never occurs outside of the game. Even if I shift-tab out of the game, I can type in word perfectly fine but upon returning to the game the glitch still continues.

It's not just one game. And how can I fix it?
U sure you don't have sticky keys enabled since it's common to hold down wasd? Vs regular typing

Sticky Keys are disabled.
Oh, this is bugging the CRAP out of me. I read about a solution to this problem elsewhere, but my brain has gone all Swiss cheese on me. It wasn't listed as a keyboard problem, but my hindbrain knows the answer.

Try searching for lag issues in co-op and multiplayer threads. I think it was on a Borderlands franchise thread, not the cruddy Tell-Tale episodic game, but BL, BL2, or BLTPS.

Thanks! I'll look into it. Please link if you find it.
(wry grimace) Not much chance of that; I found the link while looking for problems to solve, not to solve a problem I had. If it had been a case of the latter, not the former, the story would be different. It's a LOT easier for me to remember something if it's an issue I actually experienced, but I was just an ignorant bystander in this case.

But, if I do stumble across it again, I'll see what I can do.

Speaking of Sticky Keys, I'd cheerfully throttle the Microsoft coders responsible for that—as would all the other Windows gamers on Earth. "Disabling" Sticky Keys is a myth; it doesn't work. I can't tell you how many times I've been YANKED! out of a gameplay session with that gawdamned Turn Sticky Keys on? messagebox.

I don't know. In Windows 10 there is an option in "Ease of Acsess" in the contole pannel that turns off Sticky Keys.

I also just found out, it is just games on steam that follow this treand.
Having administered every Windows platfrom released since 1984, with the exception of 8.1, I am fully aware of that completely USELESS control panei applet. When I'm gaming, using rapid and repetitive key sequences, I have to REPEATEDLY disable Sticky Keys—despite the fact that I've never enabled it, and have always said "NO!" every time that accursed GUI interrupts my game.

It happens ONLY when I'm gaming. Being a Windows victim since the last century, I've been forced to accept that there are some things Microsoft is incapable of, like releasing an operating system that WORKS like it's supposed to. I'd be a Linux-Only man but for one teensy tiny thing: The world's gaming developers do not focus on Linux platform games. Only in the last few years have SOME coders made decent Linux games.
@Wektor which solution exactly worked for you? If it was the input language one, where was this icon? What did it go to?
