*Black Mesa is a remake of Half-Life 1
But it's not completed and it really doesn't have all the stuff. The intended progression is:
Half-Live-->Half-Life: Opposing Force-->Half-Life: Blue Shift-->Half-Life 2-->HL2:Episode 1-->HL2:Episode 2
Black Mesa is a remake of the original HL using Source Engine assets and engine which makes it look gorgeous but at the same time they kinda inadvertently made the game easier than the original.
