Can't gift games from canada to usa
I've been gifting games to people for years and now I can't? I don't mind paying US prices. Is there anyway I can pay US dollars to still give people gifts?

Idk, what's going on but you should be able to gift anyone a gift. I'm from the US and gift friends from all over. Even in Singapore

there might be legality issues involved with letting users choose to pay the higher price in the giftees country.

we have to wait and see.

How in the hell is this making it easier to send games to friend?! I hate soulless corporate lies masquerading as something good.

I'm not trying to scam anyone, I just wanted to gift games to my friends. I don't care if I have to pay a higher price for them.

If they're your friends just send them money to buy the game with.

That would kinda ruin the surprise? I didn't realise you could send money thru steam

Unless you send them a Steam gift card.

So instead of gifting a game to someone like I used to, i should send them money through paypal, tell them what game to buy and have them buy it. I see how this new policy is helping me gift games I love to my friends. Thank you valve.

It's to cut down on gifts being resold on grey market sites.

This issue specifically would push people to do exactly that though.... wtf. How do you get around being unable to directly gift soemthing to a friend.... O_O...
PS: Especially when people offer to pay regional prices.
