How to cancel or reschedule gift delivery?
I just bought a game as a gift for someone. In the purchasing process I scheduled its delivery to that person. I also received an e-mail from steam telling me that I can "cancel or reschedule delivery of the gift". I had a look in my inventory and I find the gift there, but nowhere can I find said options.

Is that all the email says? Double check.

This is what the e-mail says:

"You can check the status of your gift from your Steam Inventory page. You can cancel or reschedule delivery of the gift at any time as long as it hasn't been redeemed by your friend yet."

Then click more and then gift history.

Highlight the gift, and tell me what options there are?

Sorry, I can't do that as the gift has been delivered by now.

I'm having the same problem right now... I can tell you when it's highlighted the only options are "Go To Store Page" or clicking the name of the person you're sending it to which goes to their steam profile.

There aren't any interaction options on the Inventory History and Gift History pages.

I'm beginning to think they implemented the new gift scheduling system but for whatever reason didn't include the option of rescheduling or in any other way affecting what is happening to the thing you bought. Which would be rediculous to say the least... Anyone else have any clues?

I'm not sure either and this question is popping up everywhere and nobody seems to know the answer. Very strangely, foolishly, or some might say corruptly ..., Steam have changed the ability to add games to your inventory. This was very helpful, for when big sales came on, people could buy many games and put them in their inventory and then gift them out to different friends when the time came. And this fits with how basically every other shopping platform works: You buy something on sale and save it then give it out to a friend when the occasion pops up. Now Steam makes it only possible to send a game to one specific friend as a gift. So I've just purchased a bunch of games that have come up on sale but don't want to send the game to my friend as a gift now, for I’m not completely sure when I want to give them the gift. So I have scheduled the date as far away as possible and then thought I'd then just reschedule the date back when I'm ready to give the gift. But just checking now, when I go to the game in the inventory, it tells me when the game is scheduled to go, but there is no option to reschedule the date.

I've contacted Steam and asked for a refund on all the games I just bought if it is not possible to reschedule the gift date.

Had the same problem. Still have it to be honest. I wanted the game delivered at a specific date and time. But like, the only "timezone" available is "CST". So I tried to google how the date/time I want will translate to that time. Then it came out wrong. I contacted support said they "can't" solve the issue at the moment and offered a refund to put in my wallet. I told them I don't mind but I really want help with the "delivery" process cause I don't want it to be wrong again and have to go through the process once more.

So they refunded me and ignored my asking for help on the delivery, been days since the last update on my "Help Ticket" and since the time I want to send the gift is drawing near I had no choice but to take a wild guess (AGAIN) on the timezone difference it ended up being wrong. AGAIN.

i just had this exact same problem :C for my friend's birthday i planned out 5 gifts to give to her in the five days leading up to her birthday and i made sure it was in CST time and it turns out that it just went to my local time instead??? like i wanted one gift to deliver on the 1st July 11:00AM so i worked out the time zones and set it at 30th June 9:00PM but then i get an email on 30th of June (my time zone) saying that my gift has been delivered????? wth!! i'm quite upset about it because it took a while to plan it out and i had it set that the game she always wanted was going to be delivered on her actual birthday (5th July) but now instead she's getting it the day before and i have nothing to give her for her actual birthday :( (plus the fact that she is now getting her games at 9PM? like how weird is that?)
