.scr files and Steam In-game Browser
So i was sent a link to a dropbox file with the .scr and dl=1 extensions. If I, stupidly, clicked on this link using the steam in-game browser, does the file get downloaded? If it does, how can i remove it?

Even if downloaded, should be no issue as long it was not executed. Delete the download manually, then run a Malwarebytes scan.

I don't think the steam ingame browser supports downloads really.
I tried downloading the steam installer from ingame now or some real safe exe file and nothing really happens.

You probably got real lucky and got saved by that browser.

EDIT: yes, do a malwarebytes.com scan just in case.

I don't think anything got downloaded, as I said I tried downloading steam ingame and didn't find the file.

Next time don't click anything you don't need. Don't go to links with that stuff, with any stuff preferably.
If it's an awesome surprise then it could be lies.

Even downloading thins isn't dangerous. Executing them is.
