Game purchase on hold
Hello,

I have purchased a game with credit card I always purchased and never had problems before. The purchase did not complete and the money are "reserved" by the bank. From searching around I can think only of AVS check fail. What can I do to complete the purchase?
Thanks.

There's links you can follow here,

Steam informed me that my purchase failed, but there is a pending charge on my credit/debit card. Why?
If the error message that you receive when failing a purchase contains the words "temporary hold," you may have failed an AVS (address verification) or CVV2 (3-digit code on the back of the card) check with your bank. In these cases, most banks will still allow the purchase to go through, setting the funds for the purchase amount aside, despite this information being incorrect. Steam will always decline a transaction that fails an address or CVV check. Steam will not collect the funds that your bank has put on hold. Your bank will release the funds to you at a later date per their policy. This can often take up to 10 business days.
Failing an Address Verification System (AVS) check
This specific error message indicates the billing information that you have entered has failed a check against he information that your bank or card issuer has on file for this account. Double check the address information that your bank has on file for this card. Ensure that the street address and zip code match your bank's information exactly and test the issue again. If the issue persists, contact your bank to resolve it.
My bank reports a pending charge for a transaction that appeared with this error
Most banks use light security around this verification system, and will actually accept charges for transactions that fail this check. Steam has a strict policy that fails all transactions with incorrect, false, or fraudulent address information. There is no way for Steam Support to force Steam to accept payment from a transaction that has failed in this way, even if the charge still appears as pending in your bank account.

Thank you for all the info, Teutep.
The purchase haven't failed, it's pending though. AVS check fail was only my assumption.

The question now is, how can I restart the purchase without failing AVS check, since I entered everything correctly like in previous purchases.

If funds haven't been withdrawn from your bank account, you should be able to cancel said pending purchase here: https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpWithPurchase

I've had mine pending a handful of times, never been due to an AVS check, just some slow transaction day.

If funds have been withdrawn, then I'd recommend waiting it out. It'll either turn into [Purchase] or [Failed].

The purchase just miracally went through (purchased yesterday) and I received my game. Looks like it was slow transaction day indeed. Never happened to me before, but now I'll know what to expect next purchase. Thanks for all the help.
