(SOLVED)Why can't I put a photo I cropped in photoshop on Steam?

I merged together a panorama on Photoshop. Once complete, I put the photo in the thumbnail and the screenshot folder. When I try to upload, I get an error message.

I have been able to crop panoramas on MS Paint and upload them (you can see them on my profile), but I can't edit a photo on Photoshop and upload it.

Please help. It's a really nice shot and i'd like to share it.

What is the file format? How about the file size? Also see:

Gotta be under like 8 mB, else just keep trying, restart steam etc. it bugs out alot for me.

.jpg. I don't know why it won't work. When I cropped my screenshots in MS Paint, I saved the file in the thumbnail and screenshot folder. Instead of MS Paint, I used Photoshop this time (to merge the images together to create a panorama) and Steam didn't upload it.

how do you guys merge together a photo and then manage to post it on Steam?

How large is the .JPG in kilobytes/megabytes? Did you follow the instructions in the link above?

I mean, it's not that long. You don't need to read the question. There are two solutions, the top one is a bit more work but doesn't require third-party software. The second solution with the green check mark is easier, but does require third-party software.

No, you would want to remove the file name under vrfilename, not under thumbnail.

No it didn't work. When I turn back on Steam, I lose all my screenshots too. I have to launch the game for them to 'be screenshoted' again. Maybe it has to do with the file name. I just used the one in the tutorial link you sent.

I dunno...wish all this ♥♥♥♥ was easier. Such a hassle to share screenshots.
