Why Cant I Stream (OBS)
I am trying to get into streaming. I am having some game glitches while streaming. My streaming is set to 720p settings.

PC Specs:
Processor: AMD FX 8350 Black Edition
GPU: GTX 1080 standard edition
RAM: 16gb DDR3
Software: OBS

If anyone needs anymore specs to help determine whats going on just let me know. I am pretty sure its my processor, but its 8 cores and 3.6GHZ so idk why thats an issue. But it seems to sit at 80-90% usage when streaming and playing diablo 3. Tried it out on CSGO, Dota 2, and Diablo 3 and had glitching across all 3 games.

I just use the ts3 client itself. Guess i could possibly have a virus laying around eating up cpu usage. I have had problems with this cpu in the past. AMD's run really really hot so i had to strap a after market cpu fan on it to keep it from over heating. I also have 3 monitors always running. so that could also be the reason for my excessivly high cpu idling I guess.

If you want I can starting streaming and you tell me what you see if you want. I have my twitch linked to my steam profile.

3 monitors? All connected to the 1080?

Anyway, just get that idle CPU down to like 3%, you never said if you shut down everything or not.
After that start bnet and obs, nothing else. You can watch the VOD afterwards.

VOD? and yes all 3 are connected to my 1080. should i connect them to my mother board? and just leave my main one in the 1080?

No I was just curious.

Try getting your idle cpu down first.
And do you have some ram-disk cache stuff going?

um the only thing thats shooting it up would be my coursair utility engine for my rgb keyboard stuff. but i dont see why or how that would eat up so much. but its using <100mb of ram.

And how many % of your total is that?
Anyway, doesn't matter. the keyboard still works without that. Shut it down and turn the room lights on if you can't see your keys :P

Basically, shut it down if you can play games without it. This is not a permanent thing, you can reboot afterwards and go back to how you like it. This is just for stream testing.

Okay i will hop on twitch right now and shut everything that isnt streaming down, then see if its solid. feel free to see for yourself. ill be back on when i finish a greater rift in d3

Watched you live for a bit, game seemed to run fine to me.:steamhappy:
Curious what your idle CPU% was when you stopped the game and the stream, maybe it was something else that caused problems.

Another tip, don't put ( ) around your links on your profile.

You can hide URLs on Steam behind text.

Trade Link

This is how it works:

[ url=https://steamcommunity.com/tradeoffer/new/?partner=101379739&token=IyIz8jM_]Text in between here[ /url]

Just remove the two spaces Ive made.

Good luck :)

I don't know, depends on what you need really. If you don't need a browser with lots of stuff while gaming and streaming then maybe not?
If you now know what worked you can maybe figure out what the problem is if it happens again. Maybe some program you used screwed it all up? Take note what you use in the background and what changes.

That button just comes up in the forums and only on trade urls.
