Got a game on GOG, can I get DLC on Steam?
I bought Witcher 3 on GOG, but I can't download the Blood and Wine DLC from Steam as it thinks I don't have the game as I've not got it registered on Steam, as I got it on GOG... am I able to tell Steam I have the game, just not via Steam, and download the DLC from Steam?

No.

No. DLC on Steam is only compatible with the base game on Steam.

No, that is not possible, you have to have the basegame on Steam to download the DLCs.
Games bought on GOG, do not come with a steamkey.

Aaah crap. Thanks anyway. It's on offer on Steam but double the price on GoG that's all. Shame.

Why not wait for the DLCs to go on sale on GOG?

Wait until the summer sale of GOG.

I didn't know GoG had sales really. I don't use it much to be fair. I'll keep an eye out for a sale though, thanks folks.

You do that, they have good sales at times.

Also, when it comes to things like prices and sales, I tend to recommend https://isthereanydeal.com/

I can't promise that their data is 100% accurate, but they keep an eye on many shops and their prices, and also give you a "price history" graph for each game.

It's up to you whether you want to use that to make guesses about sales, but it can give you an impression on the kind of pricing you can reasonably expect.
