Sound Cutting Out and GTA V Error
Hey there. My laptop has started to act up and wanted to figure out why and how to resolve this issue. I started playing GTA V with my notebook outputting onto my Vizio TV, duplicating the same image on the notebook. I do this due to some games not porting over from one screen to the other very nicely. Unfortunately, GTA started to do some very random things. The main one being that it cuts the screen to black like the display drivers have gone dead. The TV goes to a no signal message. So that makes me assume that the display adapter cut out. Shortly after it comes back with a ERR_GFX_D3D_INIT error and shuts down GTA. I have tried the game again and after anywhere from 5-25 minutes, it'll crap out again. I attempted a quick search online of this error, but haven't had any luck fixing the issue with suggestions like changing DirectX or scaling downward.

After the frustration of this, I tried out a few other games. I started with Bioshock Remastered, playing a brand new save. And quickly after the plane crashes into the ocean, I would lose audio through HDMI. But if I play through the notebook, audio would return. I restarted my notebook and audio through HDMI returned. But would cut out shortly into game again. I restarted once more and went to Portal 2. After the Valve logo went away, the game lost audio once more.

I have done this in a short number of other games and I'm having similar issues through and through. Can anyone help me to understand what is going on with my GTA game crashing and the audio issues occurring after the fact?
