Max Ping Issues

I've recently been getting this message while i search for games under comp, 'your best ping has been set to 140-180 ms'. This is absolutely retarded, it has nothing to do with my internet since i have pretty decent upload and download. Is anyone else going through this and if yes, please let me know what the solution to this maybe.

Your upload and download speed have nothing to do with your ping. The solution is to connect to servers that are closer to you.

Well first thing, yes they have a lot to do with the ping. You cannot play with less that 3mbps, you can try it out if you want. And how am i to control to which server i should connect. Thats completely on to the matchmaking side of the game. I had been playing quite fine until 1-2 weeks ago, but now this random issue comes up. Few people in australia had the same problem but it seems to be sorted by now.

No, you can have a highspeed internet connection with high pings, and you can have a lowspeed internet connection with low ping, and vice versa.
Ping is the quality of the connection and that has nothing to do with speed.

Mate i get that. But you lot are trying to buy the fact that you can play with or under 3mbps with a decent ping?? Thats bs. But yes, quality of connection maybe the thing i should work on. Thank you very much.

None of us said anything about playing with low speed or not, we told you, that your ping is not guaranteed to be low, just because you have a highspeed connection.

It can be noise on the line or very long distance/many hop to the server you try to play on.

It has something to do with the connection between your PC and the server. It is not a straight direct connection.
You are being routed through several (possibly dozens) of servers and something along the way is causing the connection to slow down.
