Elite Dangerous CD Key Issue

I had a CD Key from 2015 given to me, now the CD key is not vaild in Elite Dangerous i bought the Commander Edition thinking it would correct the issue but it has not, I need to know how to directly contact steam to remove the old CD Key so i can add the new CD key that will be valid.

You cant remove a key/game after purchase/used it.

the self help does not work or help with my situation, when i do the self help it says i already have added the CD key

I removed game verified files and the same old cd key came up again. Still invalid when i enter it on elite dangerous.

the old key can not be removed. even if you use a new key the old one would be still used on your account.

Your friend most likely already used it on his Elite Dangerous account and gave you a Steam copy of it thinking you could use it. Which you can't as that Steam key is already linked to his Elite: Dangerous account.

Yea seems that way. I bought the commander edition niw i cant access my cd key because it still shows the old one. So i need help removing the old key so i can get my new key if that makes sense.
