Can you sell gems for steam wallet money on the market?

Bollocks....I converted my cards into gems thinking that was the way to go, unknown to me at the time I could not sell the gems. I was hoping to sell the gems for 7 cents so i could buy something else for EVE online. bollocks.

If you want something that is normally sold on the market, many traders will take gems as "payment". I do a lot of trading and often pay with gems.
