How to Add Steam Games to Steam

Need help. How do you add a game to steam, that is sold on steam but only recently, and that you bought from the company itself. I bought Black Desert Online BEFORE steam actually began to sell it and recognize it. Now that is IS sold on steam, I would like to add it and earn achivements, have steam overlay, count hours, etc. I know already you can add as a non steam game, but this wouldnt help me. Thanks

If you have a Steam key for it you can add it to your library. It's in the same spot as the add non steam game.

Considering you bought it before it was on Steam, there is no reason for you to have a key.So you're probably SOL.

Dont have a steam key, any way i can just move files around to have steam recognize it, cant be that hard can it?

You could try to contact the devs and hope they're feeling generous. Wouldn't hold my breath though.
