"steam is having trouble connecting to the steam servers"
Hi there, my steam is having problems with connecting. This only happened today, but recently I have also been getting a lot of the "NO CONNECTION" problem when I logged on to Steam.

I've tried numerous things that were on YT, including opening regedit with CMD and putting in the "TCPNoDelay" thing. I also tried making a shortcut and putting in the -tcp thing, I've also restarted my computer 10 times over the past couple of hours.

I have also tried reinstalling steam along with all of my games, that fixed the issue for about a day or two and then it came back.

If anyone has an idea of how to fix this, please share it with me.

Just about the same. It keeps saying "Could not connect to the Steam network". It's not my connection who's having a problem because I just downloaded 1 complete series of movie. I don't know what seems to be the problem. But this really makes me frustrated. :(

I had the same problem for about 24 hrs, I removed/disabled the authenticator on my phone and logged in and it worked.

Same issue, I can't even log into Steam at all. This all started happening for me since the recent update, anyone else notice that?

Yes.

I found a fix. You might not have to uninstall Steam like I did, but I uninstalled Steam completely then did the following:

1. Run "cmd" as Admin.
2. Type "netsh winsock reset catalog"
3. Type "netsh int ip reset reset.log"
4. Reboot your PC.

When I rebooted, I installed Steam again and it actually worked so far for me.

I just encountered this same issue, and these steps resolved it for me. You do not need to uninstall/reinstall Steam, just use the 4 steps above.
