someones asking for my trade url

this person added me and started talking about trades... he wants my url though.. is this a scam or is giving away the url 100% safe?

Nothing wrong with it. It's just like a normal trade but it'll send it to you to accept or decline.

Read very carefully what trade he sends.
Do NOT believe any text that promisses something.

The trade link gives him the right to send you a possible trade offer. Not advisable though to accept free gifts from strangers since you don't know who the person is and where his "gift" is coming from and how it was obtained.

While the trade URL itself is safe to give out, I would watch out as everybody who doesn't want to use the normal trade system is a scammer with roughly 100% chance.

They are trying to scam you. Don't trade anything with them. Report, block, ignore them.

If you go to reddit, steam scams, this scam is pretty common.
