Steam client - how can I zoom-in?
I can not find any settings to adjust this. When I open Steam client, everything in it is tiny. I have to get my head close to the screen to read something. How can I fix this?

Here is a screenshot of the problem:

Screenshot looks normal to me. Never had an issue @1080p or @1440p as it seems to scale fine for me. Don't know of a way to scale it in Steam. I know windows(10) lets you adjust DPI but I haven't tried it and as you not using win10 there is no reason for me to try.

Check you OS for scaling?
What res are you using?
How far away is youor monitor? can you not move it closer?

It is "OK" if I am close to the screen, but I am not. I am using my laptop on a coffie table while lying on my couch, or in semi-sitting possition. That is the reason I have a laptop. If I have to be close to the screen, I use desktop.
Like this, it is very tiny.

I don't want to decrease the resolution. What is a point of having a 1080p screen if I do so.

Sorry, I though that you can see my specs, but it turns out that you have to click my profile to do so. So here they are:

HP G5 255 (Laptop)
15,6 inch 1080p display
AMD A6-7310 APU with AMD Radeon R4 Graphics × 4
Gallium 0.4 on AMD MULLINS (DRM 2.49.0 / 4.10.10-041010-generic, LLVM 4.0.1)
12 GB DDR3L 1600 MHz (4 + 8 GB)
Ubuntu 16.04 64-bit

I too would like a zoom feature. My TV doesnt run 60hz on anything but native 2160p, so I have to sit close to the tv to see it. No, I dont want to use big picture mode. The steam client is great on its own, I just want to zoom in.

yea, like in your screenshot, the client is only utilizing a third of the screen. I want bigger icons and letters.

You should post this in the suggestion thread "STEAM UI - FONT SIZE !" Instead of necroing an almost 4 year old thread.

Thanks. But that is way to complicated forme. This is something that Steam is suosed to do not us. But they still live in the stone age it seems, so we still only get 1/3 of the screen usable.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
