cannot register hitman absolution

when i select register game via splash screen when loading hitman 2 i get sent to the developers website square enix and i get asked for a code below is the request from hitman absolution developers square enix ( http://eu.square-enix.com )

" ..please insert here the code you can find in either the game manual or the SQUARE ENIX MEMBERS leaflet found in your game box.... "


Steam version has no manual or cdkey / code

Hitman: Absolution publisher Square Enix has backtracked on its earlier decision to include an online pass with the game.

That means the game's Contracts Mode - user-designed levels crafted to be "reverse murder mysteries" and shared online - will be available to all players for free.

"We'd actually planned to have this mode accessible via a code in the game's box, but we really want to make it available to anybody that plays the game - so we want to take a new approach," a statement posted to the official Hitman: Asbolution Tumblr said.

European players will still receive a Contracts Pass code in their box, Square Enix added. This can be ignored - the item is now free to download from the in-game shop.

"If you're in North America you'll see the mode automatically appear in the game menu. If you're elsewhere, you can redeem the code inside the box, or you can simply select the BUY CONTRACTS PASS option. From there, head to the store where CONTRACTS will be free to access."

Eurogamer's Tom Bramwell raved about Contracts mode in our 7/10 Hitman: Absolution review.

"If enough people take to it and find devious ways to put 47's skills to the test, then Contracts could well be the best thing about Hitman: Absolution in the long run," he wrote.

I got 15digit cd key and still cant register . the website only accepts 12digit /18 digit cd keys WTF

Only the boxed copies of Square Enix published games get the member codes to register with.

They did the same thing with Deus Ex Human Revolution.

I had both the digital version bought on Steam and the Collector's Box set.

This was also the case for Sleeping Dogs and Just Cause 2.

Basically what this means for you: ignore the register function on the menu launcher.

I bought the boxed copy and got a 15 digit cd key that the website doesnt accept.

I was able to register with the steam game asked me right away and worked, my problem is i picked the wrong country by mistake now it isnt my country that shows in the top points list, and im hitting top in most missions :(
I wonder if there is a way to amend the registration

Same here, for some reason I go to the UK site.. :-/
