The lore is, simply put, the background story of a game, the imaginary culture of the game world, etc. Lore friendly means that a mod doesn't mess with that, e.g. a game's plot requires the player to kill a certain NPC, like an evil lord, and the whole story continues based on that event, then a mod would not be lore friendly if it suddenly brought back that NPC and he said, "Lol, this was just a dream you had!" (although this could be done lore friendly, though not if there are for example books that cover the events too). Or, more drastically, if a mod introduces stuff that doesn't fit into the game's story at all, like a Mercedes Benz in Skyrim.

I see, Lore is the plot, info etc. and lore friendly means it stays true to the lore without adding anything out of place, For example:

SDK's gun isn't a lore friendly mod for minecraft, because it ruins the survival feeling(I mean really, it adds stuff like ak74's and rpg's), while mo' creatures add is lore firendly, because it makes the game feel more populated with mobs that fit in the game's envoriorment.

Sorta. But Minecraft doesn't really have lore. Lore is more like a made-up religious system (gods and such), an alternate history, invited family trees, etc. But you have the right idea there, yes. :)

Alright, thanks!

What BookofAwsomeness said.

Take a game like Skyrim:

"Lore" - nordic/medieval setting
"Lore Friendly" - mod that adds in a halberd.
"Not Lore Friendly" - mod that adds a flintlock rifle -_-

Within any given fictional universe:

Lore Friendly : Could happen
Not Lore Friendly : Could not happen
