Widescreen Gaming w/Black Ops II? - Widescreenfixer.org question
I run "widescreenfixer.org" to help with the FOV within COD:MW3 so I can play at 5760x1080 or 6000x1080 (w/bezel mgt) every night and have done so for almost a year now, I am happy to hear there will be an effort in banning hackers and cheaters, very happy to hear that, but in the end, should I be concerned about Widescreen fixer? It does force FOV to work right and could potentially be inadvertantly flagged incorrectly as some kind of game hack because it forces the game to display widescreen resolutions properly?

Does anyone at Steam or Treyarch know if Widescreenfixer.org will still be acceptable to be used on Black Ops II? I will never load a hack much less run one, but this is one 3rd party program that is necessary for those of us running triple monitors in wider resolutions and I am a tad bit concerned that all this securty may read this program incorrectly.

Can Steam confirm or deny that widescreenfixer can be used with Black Ops II?

Rule of thumb, if it's not part of the game it's a risk no matter what it is.
fact activision pretend they dont like cheaters but this is rubbish the codes and mods created need to have some info from a game maker in order to make these cheats play the game.

That's not true at all, the people who make these cheats find out a way to decrypt the game code then reverse engineer it to find out where it needs to be in the code or how to attach it to the code to run. They also use memory findings by hex that can alter values of certain memory areas. It's all crazy stuff that only someone dedicated would be willing to do, but not at the help of the company that makes the game. Why would they intentially ruin their own game, for what profit?

Nice, well I guess there is only one way to find out.............
This question is still not answered. A simple FOV change is no Multi Monitor Support, it doesn`t fix the 2D Elements (like the HUD) and the 3/4 black 3rd screen. So the question is still, is the Widescreen fixer allowed to be used online or not? I guess many people want to know that. I created a Twitterprofile just to ask pcdev about that, unanswered. I mean, c`mon it`s 2012 and Call of Duty what we are talking about! Battlefield 3 works out of the box and even older games like F.E.A.R can handle it. If i get an answer, i will let u know.
Well I have used both DopeFish's fix (Widescreenfixer) and HaYden's fix (Flawless Widescreen) and it works fine. The HaYden fix is better atm because it fixes the HUD and other things.

I agree, this is 2012 people, support widescreen gaming! I was playing the campaign of MOH: Warfighter and it supports 5760x1080 in game with no fix needed, it scales well and works right out of the box. Surley Treyarch can figure that out too - one would think..........
