Will EA games ever return to Steam?
So my question is will any EA published games return to Steam? Personally i despise Origin so damn much and EA. But they got some really good studios, like DICE and Bioware.

I mainly want them back because they seem to change their attitude. With Battlefield 4, Battlefront and Mirrrors Edge coming out I would love to have those games on Steam.

can you provide me an example of a non-EA game which Orgin supports if said game is broken

Any game sold on Origin is guranteed a no questions asked return for a period of time. Go to their site and check it out.

can your just provide me a link. I try to keep my searching around Orgin down.

I will be looking for explictly stating all games..not all EA games

What's wrong with having a 24 hour refund period? That is good business practice that is good for the consumer, it shows EA is willing to make less money to keep people happy; if you don't like a game or it has issues you get a full refund, no questions asked if you purhcased the game in the last 24 hours. If Valve care about their customers why don't they offer a refund on their own games?

there isnt anything wrong that. Its a great idea.

but if the entirity of your service being good is on that single feature as a difference then its pretty sad

Pffffffffffffff! I get emails written by people who want to help me solve my problems when I get a reply back from EA support as compared to an robo written e-mail you may or may not get denying any responsiblity for whatever problem you are having and squat offers of assistance when and if I ever recieve email from steam's crappiest on the planet support.

Valve isn't offering refunds since most games are not published by Valve. EA offers refunds on the games that EA publishes. Also...no refunds has been standard practice for PC games forever in my area. Valve is going by the standard practice. EA is going out of its way to act like they care about the customer....because it is the ONLY way they can gain customers. And make no mistake....I do not expect that practice to last. If EA gets any success with its platform....the refudns will go away.
Read cerfully. Why don't Valve offer refunds for Valve games? EA offers refunds for EA games, why can't Valve do it? It's a good business practice, doesn't matter why they do it. It's good for us, good for the consumer. They aren't even legally obligated to offer such a service. And wuite frankly this whole 'standard practice' is just an excuse, if Valve are confident in their games and quality they would offer refunds.

Origin also has a joke of a community, game selection, prices, sales....I could go on. But EA also doesn't have TF2 or Dota 2 or any of these games that have markets and items. That is where these long support times come from. It is because of the phishing that has been going down. Before that support times were 1-2 days. It is a user created issue. And I really doubt that EA will trouble shoot any 3rd party games for you. And like I said....if you were smart and did research. You wouldn't need them at all.

1. so lets not all confuse the refund policy for all EA games and that of all Origin games which is different

2. lets not confuse customer support with return policy because those are two very different things

3. be honest and dont obfuscate because if you do and get called on it (which you will) it only makes EA and Orgin look worse

"Not happy with your game? Just request a refund through this form "

Hope that helps. Doubt it will.

The games that Valve released with those teams actually turned into releases and not some mod.

Neither Left 4 Dead nor Portal were mods. Narbacular Drop, the precursor to Portal, was even released as its own standalone game. You can keep thinking you're backing "good guy" Valve, but it's a myth.

Right like I said, they only sell you the crap, once that's done steam ignores you. Like I said, crap company.

What games would that be? Half Life, Dota (free),TF (free), Portal, Left 4 Dead. Isn't that just about every game released under Valves name (along with sequels)? And these games work fine. No, saying that Valve should do it for the entire Steam library because EA refunds ITS items is really an excuse. That is mainly why people try to say that Origin is better. Valve has a larger inventory and has many more publishers to deal with. It can't make that decisions for all publishers.

And no you can't even refund a new console game if you don't like it. A used console game? Yea....and those don't exist on PC. You can't go to a theater and get a refund for a movie after you watch it either.

Figure out how to use your PC and you wouldn't need all that hand holding. Maybe you would be happier with a console.

You hit it on the nail, "backing". That's all it is.
Tux 2015 年 2 月 17 日 下午 12:59
From the EA site (its for EA games only...not all Orgin games). Again the risk to trying to attract more people to a system by prerforming obfuscation is blowback..

'The Great Game Guarantee allows you to return EA digital game downloads (PC/Mac) purchased on Origin for a full refund within 24 hours after you first launch the game, within seven days from your date of purchase or within seven days from the game's release date if you pre-purchased/pre-ordered, whichever comes first.'

When most people get mad at Valve because they want free handouts....I don't buy what they say about them. People are irrational and don't make any sense. Thinking that EA is a good guy is a utterly hilarious.

That's it? Personal insults. Attack when your fantastic charismatic personality fails to charm and convince? Thanks for the laugh.
