Did valve give any reason why they didn't go to E3?

Companies like Valve, Intel, AMD and Nvidia really needs to start representing the PC community in general at times like these. We have three big companies at e3 which are gravitating exclusive games towards their platforms, but the PC has no one to represent them while we have many major companies making big money out of us. It's about time to give back to the gamers and show that the PC is still a viable gaming platform. There are many games out there that could easily be on PC but are simply not on it because we aren't being represented, a major example being Dark Souls at release, which later was a major success only because us PC gamers gathered together to convince them to port it. This is the job which companies like Valve should take on themselves if they truly want to support PC gaming.

E3 is about Microsoft & Sony flashing their privates at each other to see who has the biggest, Valve don't need to because they already know it's them. ;)
