And the only point & click adventure I can think of right now is The Walking Dead, but even that has some zombie violence and a gross leg dismemberment scene. Monkey Island is another point & click adventure, I've not played it but it looks pretty humorous and goreless.
Has a picture of a gun for avatar.
Seems legit.
To be honest, I'm getting the vibe that the reality here might be that he's young and his parents check the games before they buy them.
Going through my wishlist and library again, I've come up with some others.
There are TONS of indie puzzle and platformers, so please, please check out that section of the store. Many of them do not have gore. Some of them may get away with crass humor, but it's up to you to make the final judgment. These suggestions are only what I have come across and what have caught my eye.
On my wishlist (so my gameplay experience is limited):
VVVVVV - fun & fast-paced platformer
toki tori - 50 cents and a very cute puzzle game
machinarium - robot puzzle game that is also really cute
cave story+ - involves shooting but it has mario-era graphics. really cute. one of the best indies.
unmechanical - robot platformer-puzzler that looks cute
pid - this one is 2gigs on your HD but looks really cute
spacechem - a very fun puzzle game, i enjoyed the demo
botanicula - point-and-click adventure game.
limbo - a simplistic platformer. i haven't bought it only because of my arachnophobia.
thomas was alone - a minimalist platformer, looks very cute. i like the narrator.
braid - gameplay in the demo was similar to mario, but it has a couple of different features, and the story is supposed to be good.
sonic the hedgehog - thrown in because you can't forget the classics =P STH2 was a cornerstone of my childhood.
world of goo - IIRC, this is cheaper on the iOS, but it is a very cute physics puzzler
Games in my library I haven't played:
NightSky - simple physics puzzle/platformer
Spirits - supposed to be like lemmings. looks like a very ethereal puzzle game
Other games that might be notable:
BIT.TRIP series - it's on sale right now!
Terraria - seems to be really popular title
Closure - in the Humble Bundle right now, looks like an interesting title.
Snapshot - also a Humble Bundle title, looks challenging.
Super Meat Boy's humor might be a bit too crass for your tastes (the villian is a fetus in a jar) but the overall artwork is very cartoony, so if you can get past it, it's really fun. One of my favorite purchases for the sale thus far. But for you, VVVVVV might be a better alternative =P just thought I'd throw it out there.
I hope this helps. Like I said, there are TONS of games that don't have gore in the indie games. (Not all, but use your judgment, of course) I hope this helps.
SHUT IT.
Not really. I just don't like blood and guts and all that.
Unfortunatly, it just might come to that. *sigh*
But you're definitely trolling.^^
There are so many games that doesn't involve violence at all, even whole genres that have nothing to do with fighting of any kind. You don't really have to search for them. :P
