You have been permanently banned from all The War Z discussions.
You were banned by Kewk.
Reason: "User us only hear to spread hate and not contribute to the community."
The level of censorship surrounding this game is unethical. They do this on their own official forums constantly to hide the negative and to try and bring out what positive there is. Unfortunately with Kewk their Community Manager being a mod here as well, it seems all of that has spread over.
I do appreciate Al from Steam making the post in the War Z forum section about this exact issue, unfortunately those of us who are already banned cannot respond to that thread at all, which is a concern.
These scammers need to be banned from the steam shop! NOW !!!!
DISCLAIMER: WARZ HAS TONS OF PROBLEMS. I ACKNOWLEDGE THIS. I AM NOT WHITE WASHING THE ISSUES WITH WARZ
That said:
The USER metacritic is utterly worthless in terms of determining a game's worth.
BO2 has a USER metacritic rating of like 3.3.
And again I will reiterate that I AM NOT SAYING WARZ DOES NOT HAVE ISSUES since the last time apparently people couldn't read what I was typing.
I am saying that using USER METACRITIC ratings as a marker for a game is not very reliable. Using that ALONE as a metric is a bad idea.
Why do you keep posting regarding my posts?

This isnt a matter of saving steam a few dollars. What Scammerpoint has done is considered fraud in almost every country in the world. What they have done is the equivalent of selling a lamp in a box in the store, complete with nice pictures of it providing light in houses and working perfectly. Once you have paid for it, got it home, and open the box only then are you able to find out all that's in there is a power cord.
Now, some people might need a power cord. Those are the same people that are currently defending the game. They really like their power cord and clearly anyone who is upset about the fact they didn't get the lamp advertised is stupid. That lamp is coming soon! Your power cord is good enough!
What's better, is that anyone who points out that all you are getting is a power cord and not a lamp is banished from the store to ensure that no potential customers are able to find out that there is no lamp - nor is there any indication that there ever will be given the developer's history.
The fact is before steam went out, they had that same list of promised features. Before Alpha started the developer publicly talked about how every one of those features was currently in the game and fully functional. This was of course just to get as many preorders as possible. Then on October 15th when we all logged in to the testing we discovered that instead of getting a new game, all we had was the exact same game they published before (War Inc) but on a new map with several features turned off.
To date they have "added" one feature to the game since testing started, Clans. Not only was this feature completed before they started even working on the game - they had to actually turn it off and turn it back on again. The purpose of doing so is to further deceive people into believing this game is still being developed.
Given the company's history a reasonable person would conclude at this point that most likely we will never see any of those features added to the game. The game has been in development for 4-5 months now and the only changes they have made to the engine are the addition of zombies. The zombies in the game are just basic NPCs with AI that is below the levels of quality in scripts found around the internet that are open source and royalty free. I don't think it can even accurately be described as AI since there is no intelligence involved. They *sometimes* trigger aggro based on their metrics, and *sometimes* will follow you more than 6 feet without bugging out.
Honestly, when I was teaching a programing class to freshman in highschool those kids came up with more advance AI in 2 weeks using Visual Basic.
Moving forward the information is mostly available to let people know about this huge scam. However the Moderators from Scammerpoint are over here trying to neonazi the steam forums the same way they do their own. Their policy is that if you say anything negative about the game, from a complaint to a bug report, you are permabanned from their forums. They're trying to impose the same dictatorship here. Unfortunately for them it isn’t working as well as they had hoped. Even after deleting hundreds of topics last night Kewk couldn’t keep up with the hundreds/thousands of dissatisfied customers who were all posting yesterday and eventually just gave up.
I usually depend on Steam and the Steam community to let me know about scams like this in advance. Unfortunately I have been following the project since the begining so all I had to make my decision on before purchasing was the abundant amount of lies, false advertisement, and fraudulent practices completed by Scammerpoint to help me make my choice.
I can quack like a duck, so keep ducks away from this!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scam
They still get off with 10 mill or so... until the lawsuits hit.
And since this isn't the first time, I think we can all start looking forward to a certification process on Steam. But then that will happen anyway once the SteamBox is released.
