far cry 3 or just cause 2

im not sure what to get. ill wait till a sale but anyway. can anyone list the pros and cons of both games? i know they are both open world so thats a plus

Tough call. Far Cry 3 goes back to the island and looks amazing. However, Just Cause 2 is just sheer fun and "open world" doesn't do it justice. In terms of size, FC3 is open world, JC2 is open UNIVERSE.

I'd start with JC2 then get FC3 when it goes on sale.

If you want to play both of them eventually, I'd get Just Cause 2 first, because it is cheaper (and if it goes on sale again, which it most likely will, it'll cost little). FarCry 3 will only see a small discount, if it will go on sale at all, so it's a good candidate for the summer. If money isn't a concern, then I'd get FC3 because it's currently "hot", the community is super active, and it's arguably the more polished game. But really, they are both good choices.

dude, JC2 is on sale every other week. I find it hard to find that game being sold for more than $5.00. So, Far cry 3 now, and just cause when it inevitably goes on sale. JC2 is a steamworks game so no matter where you buy it it registers on Steam. Check Gamersgate and greenmangaming often.

Oh, this is a tough decision. Just Cause 2 will provide hours of mindless fun. Far Cry 3 will too, but not on the same scale. Far Cry 3 has a fantastic single player though. I've spent 20 hours in FC3 so far and I'm maybe 40% complete with the game.

Neither game has a free roam co-op right now. JC2 has it via a mod that is currently being worked on, but it's fairly buggy. Far Cry 3 has a fun competitive co-op mode, and regular multiplayer.

I don't know if FC3 will go on sale in the Christmas sale since it just came out. I know JC2 will though, it's been on sale every single sale event Steam has had.
