I hate the "big Picture" icon upper right corner!
simple explaining: BP is good, but I don't use it at all.

Once in a while I accidently press the BP icon instead of the "close" icon or my account name.

So easily: make an option to hide or "vanish" this icon. I don't need it, it's therefore "bad" for my user interface.

In all honesty, I really don't care one way or another. I like the way it makes the client UI feel "full" and have a sense of branching. But to me its only a curiosity. I don't use it, I know I'll never use it. There should be an option to hide it, and just stash it away in the "view" menu.

well, yea, I find BP a good thing, just don't like that icon in that position

I'm sure it'll go soon enough. They are just trying to advertise the new feature. It most likely won't be in that location forever.

BP looks and sounds pretty but seems very limiting and inflexible when using a mouse and keyboard in front of my PC monitor. I can't multitask and surf the internet while maintaining a steam chat window. I can't change how I view my games list (I prefer the detailed list over large pictures/icons). I can't right click on a friend's icon and be presented with game options. I hate how annoying it is that I cannot respond to an incoming message while I'm in the Store section until the incoming message popup disappears and I can click on the Friends button to respond.......The whole experience is pretty but unsatisfying (and borders on annoying) and not what i would want to use long-term. ....again, flashy and pretty....but MEH!

you do know, that Big Picture is optimised for use with a big TV and a gamepad, don't you.
therefore it's of course not really good with the usual mouse and keyboard.

Just let it be .. Some people didnt get the advantage of that.
Sure, some people never use a controller or a TV screen to play their games.
But using steam from your couch or even your bed with a controller isn't even possible at all.
You had to choose one game with keyboard and mouse, start it, take the controller .. And all over again if u want to play another game ... Problem solved succesfully with BigScreen

Their other points are still valid.

You have to be joking me if you're making this much of a deal over having to manipulate physical objects around. First world problems. As I said, Big screen mode is a curiosity at the moment, but not much more. Moving around won't kill you. Much.

various steam skins hide the button, you can search for them but I mainly see them in steam's general discussion area at the steam vbulletin forums

make the button rectangular or half the current size... or both. The way it is now, it makes ppl mad more than it makes them happy.
I agree the current implementation is a bit weird.
