Is steam ever going to fix the problem of steam cloud sync errors with steam cloud disabled?
It's disabled globally AND per game, but this useless and unwanted feature still complains every time I try to load a game while offline.

This is a very common problem going back at least a decade, are you guys just too busy counting money to fix the product you make, or what?

No one from steam or valve are in this steam sub-forum.
You should try to clear the client cache.

Well, you mention that this happen while you are offline. If you are truly offline then I assume that you can be confident in the fact that the feature is not actually going to be used at that point in time, right? So is your problem more related to the fact that you are worried it will kick in when you actually get back online and somehow screw up your local saves or is there something I'm missing here?

While offline it complains about steam cloud sync errors, I don't know how to be clearer than that, many games will refuse to load because of it.

The "Unable to Sync" warning appears if trying to start a game when the Steam Client is in online mode but has no internet connection.

If loss of internet connection is expected, set the Steam Client to OFFLINE mode,
using the menu bar at the top left:
Steam > Go Offline...

the poster just above me said it first. If you actually use the offline mode then the client will not bother checking for updates and this include the cloud.

It is personally very easy for me to see when I launch offline because I've set all my games as "update only when I launch it" and when I use the offline mode then there is zero games asking for a download. As opposed to like half my whole list waiting for a download otherwise.
Steam fixes bugs now? *boggle*
