Steam Gift cards in the UK
Why is it impossible these days to buy Steam Gift Cards in the UK. Asda and Tesco no longer sell them; Wilkinsons no longer exist and it seems now that WHSmith are no longer selling them either. What the hell is going on??

You can still buy physical gift cards from the likes of Currys https://www.currys.co.uk/products/steam-wallet-card-%C2%A320-21776896.html

Many retailers don't stock the cards because it's largely non-profitable and there are lots of security issues surrounding them. Some retailers offer top-up receipts which is more secure but that's dependent on the retailer integrating it into the electronic point of sale.

its something that costs money, doesn't make profit.
and there are better alternatives for doing such things

Theres digital ones you can directly send to people through steam, and I think there is an email option but I may be confusing that part with something else

Online retails sell them.
They just email you the code that would be on the back of the card.
GameStop does this, dunno if you can do so from the UK though.
